Application Process and Required Documents

 

In order to register to a degree programme, you must first fill in the online application form at isa.arel.edu.tr. When filling in the online application form, you will be required to upload the following documents:

 

  • High school diploma (A photocopy of its translation in English or Turkish must be provided)
  • Certified transcript(A photocopy of its translation in English or Turkish must be provided)
  • A copy of passport

Upon submitting your application you will receive a proposal letter from Istanbul Arel University in which information regarding the pre-payment required to be accepted to the University is given.

 

Documents Required for Final Registration

 

In order to finalize registration, those whose applications have been accepted must personally apply to the Istanbul Arel University Student Affairs Office with the documents announced by the University within the dates specified in the academic calendar.

 

During the registration process, applicants must present the originals of the documents they submitted during the online application, the originals of the translated documents in addition to the documents given below:

 

1.The notarised Turkish translations of bachelor’s diploma and transcripts or, if the applicant has not yet acquired his/her diploma on account that it has not been prepared, the original of the interim certificate of graduation and its notarised Turkish translation (notarisation must be carried out by a notary in Turkey or, if obtained abroad, by a Turkish embassy)

 

2.A certificate of recognition obtained from the https://www.turkiye.gov.tr/

 

3.A “visa annotated for study” obtained from a Turkish embassy/consulate

 

4.A notarised copy of the applicant’s official ID card or the page of their passports documenting their identification information (notarisation must be carried out by a notary in Turkey or, if obtained abroad, by a Turkish embassy)

 

5.Bank receipt proving the payment of the tuition fee

 

6.6 photographs (4.5 x 6 cm.)  taken within the last six months in accordance with the relevant legislation,

 

7.The original result document of any accepted national or international exams if submitted during the online application (notarisation must be carried out by a notary in Turkey or, if obtained abroad, by a Turkish embassy)

 

8.The original result document of any accepted language proficiency exams if the applicant has such a document (notarisation must be carried out by a notary in Turkey or, if obtained abroad, by a Turkish embassy)Click here here for the accepted exams and minimum scores for the programmes, the medium of instruction of which is English.International students who have been accepted to a programme the medium of instruction of which is English, however, do not meet the language requirements of Istanbul Arel University must take the English Language Proficiency Exam held by the University.

 

Those who obtain an acceptable score form this exam shall begin their education while those who do not obtain such a score will be required to participate in a one-year English Preparatory Programme.TÖMER C1 Level Required for Turkish ProgrammesInternational students who have been accepted to a programme the medium of instruction of which is Turkish, however, do not meet the language requirements of Istanbul Arel University must take the Turkish Language Proficiency Exam held by the University. Those who obtain an acceptable score form this exam shall begin their education while those who do not obtain such a score will be required to participate in a one-year Turkish Preparatory Programme. The following documents are required to take the TÖMER Test:

 

9.If applicable, the photocopy of residence permit or the photocopy of the blue card given by the Turkish Republic

 

10.Other additional documents required by Istanbul Arel University in accordance with the applied department/programme.

 

Registration cannot be completed via post or without any of the required documents. Those who do not carry out their final registration within the specified dates cannot claim any rights.

 

The applications of those who do not meet the minimum application requirements and do not submit all of the documents required for application within the specified time will not be taken into consideration.

 

If deemed necessary, following the pre-evaluation of information and documents, applicants can be called to be interviewed by the relevant unit either online or at the university campus.

 

The applications of those who submit a fraudulent or falsified document or who have been determined to commit a fraud regarding the university entrance exam will be revoked as of the registration date. The necessary legal action will be taken against the applicant and if they have already left the University, all documents including diplomas given to them will be revoked. The tuition fees of these applicants will not be refunded.

 

IMPORTANT: The exams accepted as high school completion exams such as Abitur, International Baccalaureate, GCE etc. are valid for life while the exams accepted as university entrance exams such as SAT are valid for two years.

 

Prospective Students
