From Sabiha Gökçen Airport

From Sabiha Gökçen Airport, you can take the E-11 or E-10 buses to Kadıköy and take the metrobus. Students who will study at the Sefaköy Campus can get off at the Sefaköy station and reach the campus. To reach the Kemal Gözükara Campus, you can get off at the Tüyap station (Beylikdüzü Son Durak), which is the last stop of the metrobus, and use the free ring services to reach the campus.

 

In addition, you can reach the Sabiha Gokcen Airport directly by the E3 bus from 4. Levent metro station. Other municipal bus services to and from the airport are as follows;

 

E9 – Bostancı – Sabiha Gökçen Airport
E10 – Kadıköy – Kurtköy – Sabiha Gökçen Airport
E11 – Kadıköy – Sabiha Gökçen Airport
16S – Sabiha Gökçen Airport – Uzunçayır Metrobüs

You can also get to the Sabiha Gokcen Airport using Havabus transfer service getting off at various stations in Istanbul. Havabus departure stations are as follows;

 

Havabus Taksim – Departure Point: across the Divan Hotel in front of the Point Hotel
Havabus Kadıköy – Departure Point: in front of the Kadıköy rıhtım İETT bus stations Havabus Yenisahra – Departure Point: Yenisahra metro station

 

From İstanbul Airport

 

You can use the havaist transfer services to reach the Istanbul Airport. You can use the Havaist Tuyap – Istanbul New Airport buses (İST-2) and reach the Kemal Gözükara Campus via the University’s free shuttle services taking off at the Tuyap station.

 

Students who wish to reach the Sefaköy Campus can use Bakırköy-İstanbul New Airport line (İST-4).

 

Intercity Transportation

 

There are a selection of different types of intercity transportation in Turkey including road, rail, air and sea. There are 3 main stations for bus companies that organize intercity bus services. Apart from the Esenler Coach Terminal, which is the largest and main station on the European side, there are another station on the European side and one on the Anatolian side.

 

Inner-city Transportation

 

You can use ferries, trams, metro, dolmus, metrobus, public and municipal buses for transportation in Istanbul. You must have your Istanbul public transportation card to use public transport. When boarding the ferries and trams, you can also buy a one-way boarding coin from the box offices or electronic booths next to the stops.

 

IETT Student Card Application

 

Those who wish to use all public transport in Turkey must have an IETT student card.

 

The required documents to obtain a student card:

  • 1 photograph
  • Original and a copy of passport
  • Student certificate in Turkish
  • 10 Turkish Lira
  • YÖS NO. (You can obtain from the International Office)

You can apply to the IETT office located at Metrobus TÜYAP station (Beylikdüzü Son Durak) with your documents.
